The Nepal Railway Company has claimed that if the government takes the necessary steps, the Jayanagar Kurtha Railway may be operational immediately. Last December, the full framework of the Jayanagar Kurtha Railway was completed, and the train was tested. The train has yet to be used for passenger transport.

In this context, Nepal Railway Company Limited General Manager Niranjan Jha stated that the government can run the train immediately if it so desires. The administration, he added, was optimistic about the running of railway services.

The railway firm has already determined the fee and law for the train’s operation, according to General Manager Jha. Because the firm is new, General Manager Jha believes the government should assist in its establishment.

”By testing the train, we have fulfilled all of the preparations,” he stated. We have the ability to operate the train anytime the government desires. The administration is likewise optimistic about the railways’ operation. On this subject, the Ministry is equally optimistic. The railway department is also working closely with the police agency. Since the past, the Nepalese government has consistently supported the functioning of railways.

Despite some technical issues, we have recently been able to run the train if the government so desires. To get started, the firm needs government funding. Because the railway firm is still in its infancy, the government should assist. It’s expected that there won’t be any losses. The corporation has a higher profit margin than the Nepal government’s other companies. The railway business will be responsible for both profit and public transportation.’

More than a year has passed since the railways purchased two sets of trains from the Indian Railway Company Corporation for Rs 846.5 million and transported them to Nepal. Last December, the train that was delivered to Kurtha a year after it was purchased was tested. The train is still stalled in Tripura, beneath Janakpur. The train service will be inaugurated jointly by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, although no date has been selected.
