Dordikhola is expected to start producing electricity from the first week of April

Kathmandu, March 9

Himalayan Power Partner Limited Company’s Dordikhola Hydropower Project is expected to start generating energy in the first week of April next year.

Muna Shakya, the project’s leader, claimed that the majority of the work on the 27-megawatt project in the district’s Dordi Khola has been done and that the project will start generating energy in the first week of April.

”We completed the project’s construction and conducted a month-long test,” she stated.

She stated that the remaining work will be done in April, and that final tests would be
conducted.

Despite the fact that the project has been finished in its entirety, the seapage of the tunnel,
which was damaged by the June floods, and the dam site gate are still being repaired.

She claims that all work, including electro-mechanical, penstock intake, and fielder pipe, has been finished. They’ve all been put through their paces. Similarly, the project stated that the majority of the projects, including pipe laying and tunnel digging, have been finished.

The whole job of constructing 700 meters, 3,200 meters tunnel, placing pipes, and another
2,270 meters tunnel has been finished, according to the project.
