Kathmandu, March 9
The mayor and deputy mayor of Rangeli municipality of Morang, elected from the CPN (Maoist Centre), have joined the CPN-UML.
Mayor Dilip Kumar Agrawal and Deputy Mayor Keshav Kumar Khanal were inducted into the
party by UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli at a function in Rangeli on Wednesday.
According to UML Morang Chairman Rishikesh Pokhrel, 4,710 people including the mayor and deputy mayor have joined the party.
Chairman of Rangeli Municipality Ward No. 7 Ram Chandra Mandal and Mahesh Kumar Khanal of Ward No. 1 have also joined the party.
Chairman Mandal and Khanal, who joined the UML, were also elected from the CPN (Maoist
Centre).
