The Nepal Rastra Bank has released details about the launch of the Rupee One Rate Coin

Kathmandu, March 9

The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has released a 1-rupee coin in golden color with the year 2077 printed on it on the market from March 9, 2022 (today). The information is given by the Currency Management Department, Taksar Mahasakha circulated by Nepal Rastra Bank.

The coin’s front side

  • There are 64 dots inside the coin’s circular circle.A map of Nepal with seven provinces in the background of Himal, Pahadh, and Terai can be found within the circle.
  •  On the upper portion of the coin, one rupee is engraved in English, while on the lower
    part, one rupee is written in the Devanagari script.
  •  There is also a huge dot on the right side of the Nepal map that may be touched to
    identify the coin rate, which is highly useful for blind persons.

On the back of the coin

  • There are 64 dots inside the coin’s circular circle.
  • Eight dots circular area includes Moon, Sun, Chakra, Sankh, Padhya, Gada and in the
    middle, the figure of Mount Everest is placed and under that figure is written in English
    Sagarmatha Nepal.
  • Nepal is written in Devanagari script on the upper part of the coin and 2077 is written
    on the lower part.
