According to Finance Minister Janardhan Sharma, transactions are taking place in the Nepalese stock markets through setup.

Finance Minister Sharma said this at a press conference with the heads of Securities Board and the Nepal Stock Exchange on Wednesday. He claims that this has been shown in several research and papers.

Finance Minister Sharma stated that there is a lot of insider trading in the stock market and that it should be banned. He claimed that other countries have a system that can be purchased and sold today and that it should be implemented in Nepal’s capital market as well.

Finance Minister Sharma stated that the capital market must be developed for the benefit of investors, citing the fact that there are 1.1 million active investors and more than 5 million demat users in the market.
