Proposals for the establishment and operation of industries in 111 plots of the Bhairahawa and Simara Special Economic Zones are being sought (SEZ).

On Sunday, the SEZ Authority issued a request for bids for the creation and operation of
industries in two locations.

There are 45 vacant plots in Bhairahawa’s SEZ and 68 vacant plots in Simara. The industry will have access to the necessary physical infrastructure, including internal roads, water, electricity, security, a petroleum pump, security, a contaminated water treatment plant, a bank, insurance, and other services in the special economic zone, according to the authority.

In the SEZ, land can be rented for Rs 20 per square meter per month. The infrastructure is
leased for 30 years, according to NEA.
