Before the meeting of the House of Representatives, a discussion has taken place between CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal.
The two leaders discussed Singha Durbar in formulating a strategy for today’s House of
Representatives meeting.
The agenda for today’s meeting includes a general discussion on MCC. Before that, the leaders of the ruling parties had a discussion, according to Jeevan Ram Shrestha, chief whip of the Unified Socialist Party’s parliamentary party.
The Maoists and the Unified Socialists have been saying that they will vote against the MCC, while Congress has been saying that if they vote against the MCC, the ruling coalition will break up.
