The House of Representatives is holding a meeting today (Thursday). The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Nepal Compact Parliament has resumed its delayed session today.

The MCC Nepal Compact, a US aid project, will be the main topic of discussion during today’s meeting. The MCC agreement will also be debated in the House of Representatives’ prospective agenda, which was made public on Wednesday by the Federal Parliament Secretariat.  The MCC agreement was presented before the House of Representatives meeting on Sunday by Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki.

The Nepali Congress has already asked its MPs to attend the MCC meetings once they begin.

Despite the fact that a table has already been set in parliament to pass the MCC agreement, the ruling parties have yet to achieve an accord.

Following the split vote with the partner party, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is meeting with KP Sharma Oli, Chairman of the major opposition CPN-UML.
