For the procurement of chemical fertilizers, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development has requested Rs. 12 billion from the Ministry of Finance. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, authorization for the specified sum to be released from the coming fiscal year’s budget has been obtained for the tender this year.

According to Prakash Sanjel, the ministry’s joint secretary and spokesperson, such an arrangement has been sought to begin the purchase process immediately so that there is no lack of manure next year. He estimates that 142,000 metric tons of chemical fertilizer may be purchased with this sum. “Only after the manure is received will the cost of the purchase be paid. There will be no shortage of manure next year if the manure can be obtained after the procurement process is completed today, said Sanjel as a representative.

The Ministry of Agriculture is planning to delegate 70% of duty to the Agricultural Ingredients Company and 30% to the Salt Trading Corporation.

According to the ministry, there is a shortage of manure this year due to a delay in the buying procedure. The contract has yet to be approved. The government maintains that the contracted manure has not come on schedule, that there is a manure scarcity this year, and that if a tender is made immediately for the following year, the manure will arrive.

Fertilizers were delivered to Kolkata.

For this year’s wheat harvest, 20,000 metric tons of DAP fertilizer have arrived in Kolkata, India. According to the Agricultural Ingredients Company Limited, manure imported from Egypt is being packaged at the port and will enter Nepal next year.

Even though it is imported for wheat, the corporation claims it will be used for maize and chaite paddy. According to Rajendra Karki, the company’s acting managing director, there will be no scarcity of manure for Chaite paddy and maize because three more tenders are on the way.
