The Nepal Oil Corporation expects to lose Rs 4.5 billion in the coming month.
The new price obtained from the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), according to Binit Mani Upadhyaya, the corporation’s spokesperson, is anticipated to increase the corporation’s losses in accordance with growing oil prices in the international market. “The loss will be Rs 2.40 billion in 15 days and more than Rs 4.82 billion in a month,” said spokesperson Upadhyay.
The cost of gasoline, diesel, and cooking gas has increased as a result of the new price. The corporation’s purchasing price for petrol, diesel, and cooking gas from IOC has reached Rs 161.05 per liter, Rs 140.48 per liter, and Rs 2,135.74 per liter, respectively.
According to the company, there has been a loss of Rs 19.05 per liter of petrol, Rs 15.48 per liter of diesel, and Rs 560.75 per liter of cooking gas since the price change on February 11. In 15 days, the company expects to lose Rs 544.4 million on petrol, Rs 1.13 billion on diesel, and Rs 1.64 billion on cooking gas.
