Kathmandu, February 16

Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dilendra Badu said that the MCC would be tabled in the House of Representatives on Friday.

On his way out of the House of Representatives meeting on Wednesday, Law Minister Badu said that the government would seek consensus for two days and would be tabled in the parliament.

Badu said that they are trying to create an environment where everyone can go together. Following differences between the ruling coalition parties over the MCC, the government is preparing to hold further discussions in the coalition to reach a consensus. The meeting of the parliamentary party of the Maoist Center had decided not to force the MCC and if it did, to vote against it.

Before the parliament meeting, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur and Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” held talks and agreed not to table MCC today.
