After its debut at Beijing’s Forbidden City Concert Hall, the symphony suite inspired by the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games headed to the Shunyi Grand Theater on the city’s outskirts for a performance on Saturday.
The symphony concert consists of five sections that depict various winter sports events at the Games through music. It also seeks to show the charm of the double Olympics city by incorporating Chinese aesthetics into the symphony.
Composed by veteran composers Zheng Junsheng and Zheng Junli, the concert has not only delighted adults, but also youngsters, for many of whom this was their first symphony concert.
