Nepal has established diplomatic relations with 173 countries of the world. The last time Nepal and the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste (East Timor) established diplomatic relations.
Nepal’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Amrit Bahadur Rai and Permanent Representative to the United Nations in East Timor Karlito Nunes signed a joint letter on Friday establishing diplomatic relations.
The two ambassadors also signed a joint letter on Friday informing UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Timor-Leste, according to the official Twitter account of Nepal’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations.
