Kathmandu, February 10

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Ale has intensified action against casinos and hotels with casinos that have not paid millions of rupees to the government.
He has also decided to close Yak & Yeti in Kathmandu and Dream Land Hotel in Nepalgunj on Tuesday. In Nepalgunj’s Dreamland, Happy Hour was operating a casino. However, the casino did not pay a royalty of Rs 381.045 million to the government. The government has decided to close both the casino and the hotel, according to the tourism department.

After the activism of Minister Ale, the Ministry of Tourism has collected Rs. 650 million from
casino royalties in the first six months of the current fiscal year. The casino and the hotel in it are under action.
