Kathmandu, February 7
The stock market, which had declined by 40 points on Sunday, the first day of the week, has seen a double-digit improvement on Monday. The Nepse index, which measures share
turnover, rose by 15.69 points to 2,851.86 points on Monday.
Along with Nepse indicator the sensitive index to measure the transection turnover of class ‘A’ companies has also increased by 3.05 points. Although both Nepse and Sensitive indicators improved, there was no enthusiasm in the transaction amount. The transaction amount on Monday decreased even more than on Sunday. The share turnover, which reached Rs 6 billion on Sunday, has been limited to Rs 5 billion on Monday.
A total of 9,512,580 shares of 224 companies have been traded through 66,113 transactions during the day. Accordingly, the transaction amount has been limited to Rs 5.22 billion.
