Real won by Asensio’s goal

Kathmandu, February 7

Marco Asensio’s lone goal in the second half helped Spanish La Liga leaders Real Madrid beat Granada 1-0 on Sunday.

Asensio scored in the 74th minute to give Real the win at home. He scored on a pass from Eder Millitao.

In the first half, Granada held Real to a goalless draw, but Real added three points to Asensio’s goal.

After the victory, league leader Real has added 53 points from 23 games.

Real have a six-point lead over second-placed Sevilla. Granada is in 16th place with 24 points.

In another La Liga match, Villarreal beat third-placed Real Betis 2-0.

Villarreal has risen to the sixth position with 35 points from 23 games. Real Betis, who has 40 points from the same game, is still in third place.
