Problems in operation of oxygen plant due to insufficient voltage

There is a problem in the operation of the oxygen plant connected to the health service office due to insufficient voltage. There is a problem in the operation of the office plant as 300 KV power is required.

Health Service Office has already written to increase the capacity of Nepal Electricity Authority Jajarkot distribution center, said Tikaram Jaisi, head of the office. Jaisi said that an estimate of Rs 1 million has been spent for capacity expansion.

The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), on the other hand, has been urging the people to work at the same time after expanding the capacity several times as 50 hundred hospitals are being constructed. Even though there is a generator in the health service office, the power of the generator is causing problems in the operation of the oxygen plant. Chief of the office Jaisi said that he did not use the generator for fear of further problems. Chief District Officer Prem Prasad Devkota said that initiatives were being taken to make the operation of the plant effective during the outbreak of Covid epidemic.

The Electricity Authority has stated that the problem of electricity will be solved soon. At
present, 11 kV transmission line is operating in Jajarkot. Work is underway for 132 kV
transmission line from Kohalpur to Surkhet. As soon as the work is completed, the work of
Jajarkot section will be completed. Construction of 132 kV transmission line at Mehalkuna is
also pending. Only if this transmission line is built will it work in full phase. Electricity service has been flowing to Rukum West through Jajarkot. The work of taking dolpa through Jajarkot is also being assessed.
