Nepse down, the index decreased by 100 points

Kathmandu, January 24

The stock market index Nepse has declined sharply. On Monday, the second day of the week, the Nepse fell by 100.10 points to 2820.41 points.

The stock market plunged two days this week amid speculation that the stock market would rise from the government’s crackdown on corona. The transaction amount on Monday was Rs 8.88 billion.

From this, it can be estimated that investors have booked profit from the market which
increased in the previous week. A total of 113,205 transactions of 228 companies were
transacted on Monday. A total of 17 million 63 thousand 8 hundred 33 shares have been
bought and sold from this transaction.

On Monday, all indicators remained red. Investors in finance, development banks and
hydropower subgroups lost the most. The share price of Veen Nepal Microfinance and
Buddhabhumi Nepal Hydropower Company also increased by 10 percent in the market which declined by higher numbers.

The prices of Jyoti Life Insurance and Gurkhaj Finance have also gone up. The biggest losers were Karnali Development Bank, Mountain Hydro, Asha Microfinance Institution and Oriental Hotel.
