More than 36,000 applications for 1,500 vacant teacher posts at the secondary level

Kathmandu, January 24

The Teacher Service Commission has stated that more than 36,000 applications have been
received for the post of secondary level teacher.

The commission has stated that 36,582 people have applied in the advertisement opened for the filling of 1,542 vacant teacher posts. The application deadline for the post of secondary level teacher was Magh 8.

According to the commission, one lakh 44 thousand 381 people have obtained licenses for
teaching services at the secondary level. More than 87,000 people have applied for the posts opened at the lower level and more than 98,000 people have applied for the posts at the primary level on Poush 7. At the lower level, the application can be filled up till Poush 15 with double fee.

Forms can be filled for regular by paying double fee till 13th and from 14th to 20th. According to the spokesperson of the commission, Sudarshan Marhattha, 370,000 people have obtained licenses for lower-level education services and 202,712 people have obtained licenses for primary level education services.

The commission has fixed the date for the examination for the post of teacher on the upper
secondary level on Chaitra 15, lower secondary level on Chaitra 17 and pre-primary level on Chaitra 19.
