Kathmandu, January 24
The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has announced that India will create a ‘New India’ within a hundred years of independence.
Modi made the announcement while unveiling a statue of Subhash Chandra Bose at India Gate on Sunday on the occasion of his 159th birth anniversary.
Addressing the program, Modi said, “Netaji (Subhash Chandra Bose) said never lose faith in the dream of an independent India. Today we have the goal of fulfilling the dream of an independent India. We have the goal of building a new India hundreds of years before
independence. ‘He also appealed to all to move forward inspired by Subhash Chandra Bose’s sentiment of ‘we can do it, we will do it’.
Modi has said that a statue of Subhash Chandra Bose has been unveiled as a digital hologram at India Gate and a granite statue will be placed in a few days.
Subhash Chandra Bose is a leading leader of India’s freedom struggle. He said that the slogan of ‘Jai Hind’ has become the national slogan of India.
During World War II, he formed the Azad Hind Fauj with the help of Japan to fight against the British. His slogan “You give me blood; I will give you freedom” was also very popular. Subhash Chandra Bose is nicknamed ‘Neta Ji’ by Indians.
