Omicron, a new variant of Covid, has taken the Covid 19 epidemic to a new level and the
director of the World Health Organization believes that the epidemic will end soon. “Omicron is leading Europe toward an epidemic,” said Hans Klug, director general of the WHO. By March, he said, 60 percent of Europeans would be infected with Omicron.
Omicron, which covers the whole of Europe, is expected to remain calm in a few months.
Vaccines have increased people’s immunity worldwide, he said. “But by the end of this year,
the world will be calm,” he said.
Anthony Fawcett, a senior scientist in the United States, also believes that covid infections are slowly declining worldwide. Covid infections are on the decline in the United States.
