Rastriya Banijya Bank has entered its 57th year. The bank was established on 10 Magh, 2022 as the second commercial bank in the country.
Rastriya Banijya Bank, which was fully owned by the Government of Nepal at that time, has
been operating as a public limited company since 2063, Baishak 6.
Rastriya Banijya Bank, established with 1 crore authorized share capital and 25 lakhs paid up share capital of the Government of Nepal, has been operating under full government
ownership for a long period. After the merger of NIDC Development Bank on Baishak 18, 2075, the government of Nepal retains 99.97 percent and the general shareholders have 0.03 percent share ownership in the bank.
Rastriya Banijya Bank, which carries the original slogan of 'Your Own Bank', has a paid-up share capital of Rs 11.94 billion. Also, as per the capital increase plan 2078 prepared by the bank, the process of maintaining paid up capital has been started by receiving additional Rs. 2 Arba from the Government of Nepal for share investment. The bank has stated that it has a balance of Rs.
28 Arba 87 Crore in the share capital fund.
The bank has mobilized Rs. 2 Kharb 45 Arba. In addition, the bank has stated that more than Rs. 34 Lakh. Its non-performing loan ratio is 3.23 percent in 2077/78.
The bank had earned a net profit of over Rs 3 Arba 42 Crore in the last fiscal year 2077/78. In the same fiscal year, 33 percent bonus shares and 3 percent cash dividends were distributed to the share rich from the profits.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of Rastriya Banijya Bank entering its 57th year, Chief Executive
Officer Kiran Kumar Shrestha expressed his commitment to continue the progress-oriented
steps by making the overall role of the bank more effective.
