UML does not disagree in early elections: General Secretary Pokharel

Kathmandu, January 21

CPN-UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has said that his disagreement was not in the early election. He said that the UML wanted a new mandate when the old one was broken.

However, the UML strongly disagrees with the intention of the five-party alliance not to hold
local elections on time under various pretexts and to make the local level vacant, ‘Pokhrel wrote on social network Facebook.

Chairman of the ruling Maoist center Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has proposed to hold
early elections in April, in which the CPN-Unified Socialists have also agreed.
