Service contraction of District Administration Office, Kathmandu

Government offices have cut services due to the spread of Kovid-19 among the employees. The District Administration Office, Kathmandu, has reduced the services of 18 employees, including Chief District Officer Govinda Rijal, with effect from Wednesday.

Distribution of Nepali citizenship, copy of citizenship, juvenile identity card, national identity
card and distribution of passport has been postponed.

Similarly, the passport department has also suspended non-essential services. The issuance of new passports has been stopped except for those who have taken tokens and booked earlier.

“Emergency services have been suspended for the time being, except for the critical nature of treatment abroad,” the department said in a statement.
