Former Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairman Kamal Thapa has objected that the government and the coalition are preparing to postpone the election. According to Thapa, local elections should be held on time.
“It is wrong for the government and the coalition to think that the election should be held two months before the expiration of the term of the local government, ignoring the clear legal provisions and postponing the election and running the local level from the staff. Local
government elections, considered the backbone of democracy, should be held on time,” Thapa wrote.
