State Minister Rana monitored Gulmi Hospital

Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Bir Bahadur Rana of Lumbini has monitored Gulmi Hospital.

During the monitoring, on Monday, Minister Rana also got information about the health
treatment being provided by the current hospital along with the Gulmi Hospital under
construction.

Medical Superintendent of the hospital Dr. Uttam Pachya briefed Minister Rana about the
overall hospital. Pachya also informed that the social service unit of Gulmi Hospital is providing services to the helpless poor.

Dr. Pachya urged Minister Rana to pay attention to the shortage of specialist doctors. Dr. Uttam Pachya had complained that the Covid-19 testing laboratory was closed due to lack of funds and the electricity cost for the oxygen plant was high.

Minister Rana has also been informed that 20 percent physical work of Gulmi Hospital under construction has been completed. Minister Rana directed to complete the construction of the hospital on time.

The hospital is being operated by Swachchhand Baniya JV with the financial support of the
Government of India through the District Planning Unit Palpa under the Central Project
Implementation Unit of the National Reconstruction Authority. Minister Rana directed the
hospital to carry out various programs to control the growing covid infection.

Minister Rana instructed Dr. Pachya to be prepared to prevent the spread of covid infection. He urged the Gulmi Hospital to create a clean, tidy and pleasant atmosphere, saying that there is talk of getting sicker when patients come for treatment.

As the new building of Gulmi Hospital is being constructed, services are being provided from the old and dilapidated building. As a result, the hospital’s paint does not even look dilapidated.

Minister Rana Lumbini had come to Gulmi under the direction of Chief Minister Kul Prasad KC to monitor the hospital.
