Booster doses can be applied at these 17 places in Kathmandu

Kathmandu, January 17

The Health Office, Kathmandu, has decided to give an additional dose of booster dose to the frontline personnel from 17 places in the district.

For the time being, those working in the front line (fontliner) will be given booster amount.
Chief of the Health Office Shambhu Kafle informed that booster doses can be given from 17
vaccination centers in Kathmandu where vaccination is being conducted now.

Kafle informed that vaccination has been started from 8 government hospitals and 9 private hospitals including Naka. According to him, Nepal Army Hospital (Chhauni), Nepal Police Hospital (Maharajgunj), Armed Police Hospital Dhabalambu, Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (Maharajgunj), Veer Hospital Mahavoudya, Philanthropic Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital Thapathali, Shaheed Sukrabaar Hospital Teku and Civil Servants Hospital New Baneshwor, Booster dose will be given from these hospitals.

Similarly, booster vaccine can be obtained from Subheksha Hospital Sitapaila, Janamitri Hospital Balaju, People’s Dental College Samakhushi, Norvik Hospital Thapathali, Novel Hospital Sinamangal, Bayodha Hospital Balkhu, Shaheed Memorial Hospital Kalanki, New Bus Park, Apex Polyclinic Herbs.

Who falls on the frontliner?

Health workers, security guards, communicators, women’s health volunteers, sanitation workers, bodybuilders, ambulance drivers and hearse drivers are among the frontliners. At this stage, the people’s representatives of the local municipality, the employees of the local
municipality, those deployed in the BOP of the armed forces, the public road police and those assigned to the corpse management are included.

The Ministry of Health has stated that the employees working in the cash counters of the bank and the front-line employees in the government service will also be included in this.

Booster doses must be completed at least 6 months after vaccination. Also, the previous
vaccination card must be taken. Booster amount will be given to persons above 60 years of age from next 14th.
