A writ petition seeking impeachment against Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Jabra has been filed by the Supreme Court.
The writ petition filed by advocate Madhav Kumar Basnet has been filed by Registrar Narayan Panthi. Proponents of her case have been working to make the actual transcript of this statement available online.
Advocate Basnet said that the allegations against the Chief Justice were of a very serious nature and demanded an immediate order in the name of the Speaker and the House of
Representatives to immediately start the process prescribed by the constitution to investigate the allegations and take necessary action.
