At the direction of Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale, the
ministry has barred Mike Bolsover, the acting chief executive officer of SHL Management
Practice, from leaving Nepal.
Although he had to pay Rs 13 crore to the government of Nepal for operating the casino, he has not been able to do so far.
He had not paid the revenue of two casinos operating at Sangrila Hotel in Lazimpat and Tiger Palace in Bhairahawa with the investment of OCP Asia. The two casinos operated by Bolsover were banned after finding out that the two casinos at the rate of Rs. 13 crores within mid-poush.
Eight casino companies operating under Minister Ale’s directive have already filed revenue of at least Rs 40 Crore in the government’;s account, while SHL Management Private Limited has not paid revenue of Rs 13 Crore.
It is alleged that SHL Management Pvt. Even the Supreme Court had ordered the company not to do any business. The CEO of the company, which has been operating casinos and hotels against the Supreme Court’s order, was arrested while leaving Nepal at midnight without paying revenue.
The ship was scheduled to fly to Pokhara at around 8.30 this morning. But after a delay, he flew from Kathmandu to Pokhara only after 10 o’clock. After seeing technical problems in that ship, they are preparing to send the passengers to Pokhara on another ship.
