Former Finance Minister Prakash Chandra Lohani has said that Prime Minister Sher Bahadur
Deuba did not feel responsible for resolving the country’s economic crisis. Lohani said that it was not only with the finance minister that Nepal’s economy was heading towards crisis.
On Friday morning, he wrote on social media, “Nepal’s economy is heading towards crisis. Now it is not just a matter of the finance minister. Deuba is a question of responsibility of the government. The Prime Minister does not seem to have realized this responsibility.”
Former finance minister Lohani says it will not take long for the stagnant economy to recover from a slowdown. “The crisis in the economy is not limited to statistics. After reaching a certain level, human emotion will take precedence over statistics,” he wrote.
