CPN-UML’s new record

The main opposition party CPN (UML) has set a new record in the House of Representatives
blockade. UML has set its own record of 2057 BS by beating it in the ninth session of the House of Representatives.

At that time, UML had obstructed the Lauda case for 57 days. The Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Rastriya Janamorcha and Nepal Mazdoor Kisan Party also supported the UML.

This time, the UML has been obstructing all the meetings of the ninth convention for 52 days and the current convention till Mangsir 28. Both conventions have been held till Thursday and 83 days have passed.

Thirteen meetings of the ninth convention and three meetings of the current convention could not be held due to UML. UML continues to obstruct the ninth and 10th sessions of the
reconstituted House of Representatives after the dissolution.
