Kathmandu, January 13
Minister for Urban Development Ram Kumari Jhankri has monitored the Dhobikhola corridor on Thursday morning.
A team of Secretary Jhankri, Secretary of the Ministry, Kathmandu Valley Authority and the
empowered Bagmati Civilization Integrated Committee inspected the site.
The team has observed the condition of the road, sewage, garbage, unorganized construction materials and condition of sidewalks.
During the visit, Minister Jhankri directed the Kathmandu Valley Development Authority and
the Bagmati Civilization Integrated Committee to immediately solve the problem of garbage
and unmanaged sewage seen on the road. ”Immediately resolve the problems seen in the corridor. I will come back for monitoring in a few days,” she said.
Following the directive of Minister Jhankri, the representatives of the concerned bodies have said that the problems seen in the corridor will be resolved in a few days.
The monitoring started from Babar Mahal at 5.30 am and ended at Budhanilkantha.
