CPN-UML has elected Amrit BC as its chairman in Surkhet. He got 368 votes while his rival Dandi Prasad Sharma got 267 votes.
Similarly, Kulmani Devkota of the BC panel has won the election with 394 votes. Kabindra KC has won the post of secretary by getting 390 votes while Ghanshyam Pandey has won the post of deputy secretary.
Out of the total 662 UML representatives in Surkhet, only 649 had cast their votes. Outgoing Vice President Amrit BC and Secretariat member Dandi Sharma were in the fray for the new leadership.
