Kathmandu, January 11
Amid a growing epidemic of corona virus, the Tribhuvan International Airport office has
stopped distributing visitor passes. According to the office, it has been decided that V-pass will not be available except in very urgent cases.
The airport office has also requested the public not to come to the airport for farewell
and welcome except in case of emergency, saying that the risk of corona has increased
due to limited space at the airport.
Even before this, the office has been urging people not to come to the airport for welcome and farewell. However, the office has again made such a call as the crowds have not abated.
The office has urged the stakeholders to follow the required standards even during air travel. Stating that corona has spread in Nepal and neighboring countries, it has been asked to follow the criteria to avoid it.
