I believe that the Prithvi Jayanti will provide inspiration to fulfill the resolve of prosperous Nepal, happy Nepalis: President

Kathmandu, January 11

President Bidhya devi Bhandari has expressed confidence that the Prithvi Jayanti will provide inspiration to fulfill the common national resolution of ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepalis’.

Expressing best wishes on the occasion of Prithvi Narayan Shah’s 300th birth anniversary and National Unity Day, the President said, I am. ‘

In the current phase of achieving economic prosperity after the important political changes, the President has mentioned in the message that it will contribute to the socio-economic transformation of the country if it can move forward by assimilating the visionary ideas of Prithvi Narayan Shah, the hero of Nepal Unification Campaign.

It is mentioned in the message of the President that a broad base has been prepared for building strong national unity by preserving the original culture, language and traditions of Nepal through unification.

The message goes on to say, ”The messages that Prithvi Narayan left at that time regarding the social, economic and foreign policy of the country are just as compelling in the present situation.”

Memories of Prithvi Narayan Shah

Prithvi Narayan Shah was born from the womb of King Narabhupal Shah and Queen Kaushalyavati in Gorkha on Poush 27, 1779 B.S. Prithvi Narayan became the king on March 10, 1799 BS.

Before that, Nepal was divided into 52 states. After Prithvi Narayan became king, Nepal’s border was extended from Tista in the east to Chepe river in the west. After the demise of Prithvi Narayan, his successor has a history of extending the state of Nepal to Kangada in the west.

Prithvi Narayan Shah had conquered Nuwakot in 1801 BS. Twenty-five years later, in 1826, the Kathmandu Valley was conquered. After conquering the Nepal Valley, Prithvi Narayan Shah extended the borders of the country by conquering Chaudandi, Vijaypur etc. in the east.

Today, the 300th birth anniversary of Prithvi Narayan Shah is being celebrated with various programs across the country. There is a program organized by Nepal Pragya-Pratishthan, Nepal Lalitkala Pratisthan, Nepal Sangeet-Natya Pragya-Pratishthan and Cultural Institute.

Similarly, various cultural glimpses of Nepal will be presented at the Jamal-based National Dance Hall at 2.30 pm.

Similarly, Rastriya Prajatantra Party has organized a function at Bhrikuti Mandap at 11 am.
