The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) has protested against the incident of Ram Kumar
Timalsina, administrative officer of the district administration office, abusing Prem Chandra Jha, president of FNJ Rautahat.
FNJ has demanded to investigate the incident and take action against the culprits and respect the constitutional dignity and rights of journalists. Jha said that he was mistreated by the administrative officer when he reached the district administration office for the online registration process of a magazine in Rautahat.
”He asked for some documents. While I was informing the chief district officer about the matter, Officer Timalsina used abusive language against me,” Jha said.
The Federation of Nepali Journalists, Rautahat Branch and State 2 Committee have also
protested against the mistreatment of the FNJ president. The Rautahat district branch of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) has warned to boycott the news of the district
administration office until action is taken against the culprit.
Chief District Officer Krishna Bahadur Shahi said that there was a general dispute but no
insulting words were used.
The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) has also protested against the arson attack on the house of FNJ Dhanusha branch member Suresh Kumar Yadav on Wednesday night.
The federation has also demanded that those involved in the incident be identified and brought to justice immediately and arrangements be made for proper compensation to the families of the victims.
