Kathmandu, January 6
A person has been arrested for stealing idols of gods and goddesses from Ramjanki temple in Nepalgunj.
According to the District Police Office, Banke, Asraf Bagwan, 25, of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolis-1 has been arrested for stealing various items from the temple including three idols.
According to the police, three idols of the deity, two idols of the snake deity, five bells, three tridents, four police stations, a copper pot, an arti and eight lids were recovered from the temple premises.
Police said that further investigation is underway into the incident.
