Kathmandu, January 6
Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Devendra Poudel, while inspecting the
Kathmandu Medical College (KMC) Medical College in Bhaktapur today, has directed the MBBS students to prove that they have not been charged more than the stipulated fee by the government.
During the monitoring, Minister Poudel told the college representative, ”Prove at the
negotiating table that no higher fees have been charged, otherwise the law will prevail.” Minister Poudel also directed to submit a report on the fees by tomorrow.
Minister Poudel urged the representatives of the agitating students, college administration and district administration office to find a solution to the problem through talks. Chief District Officer of Bhaktapur Rudra Devi Sharma, who reached KMC with Minister Poudel, said that talks would be held at 10:30 am on Friday.
