Tennis star Djokovic barred from entering Australia

Kathmandu, January 6

World number one Novak Djokovic has been barred from entering Australia.

He was stopped at Melbourne Airport by Border Security Force and is expected to be deported.

According to the BBC, his visa was dramatically revoked for failing to comply with travel
standards related to Covid-19.

Tennis star Djokovic was kept at the airport for hours.

Djokovic traveled the day after the Australian government granted him a waiver to play tennis. Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison has said he will be deported because no one is above the law.
