Congress’s 16-district convention postponed

 

The convention of 16 districts of Nepali Congress has been shifted again. The district
convention, which could not be held before the 14th general convention of the party due to
dispute, has been postponed again. The NC Election Committee has stated that the convention has been postponed citing the party’s busy schedule for the National Assembly elections on Magh 12.

Secretary of the Election Committee Keshav Rijal said in a statement issued on Wednesday that the convention of the remaining 16 districts will be held on Magh 12. The remaining districts are Saptari, Siraha, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Rautahat, Bara, Parsa, Sindhuli, Makwanpur, Sindhupalchowk, Chitwan, Banke, Kailali, Achham and Nawalpur. Among them, there are disputes in Siraha and Mahottari.
