Police have asked the court whether the two accused arrested in the Lalita Niwas land case
should be produced before a special court.
The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has asked the court whether Ram Kumar Subedi and his wife Madhavi Subedi should be produced in the special court as corruption cases are pending.
An official of the bureau told the news channel that the letter was sent to the court as per the regular procedure as another case related to corruption was under consideration. The Bureau is conducting an investigation against the Subedi couple in the case of tampering with government documents from the District Court, Kathmandu.
According to the provisions of the Criminal Code, the case should be submitted to the court
before 27 Poush. Bureau DIG Dhiraj Pratap Singh says that preparations are being made to
submit the investigation report in time. He says, ”There are two main accused in the Kirte case.
During the investigation conducted by the bureau, it has been concluded that the government land of Lalita Niwas has been transferred in the name of a person by falsifying documents four times from 2049 BS to 2070 BS. Accordingly, the CIB is preparing to file four cases.
