Maoist has finalized five candidates for the National Assembly

The ruling party CPN (Maoist Center) has finalized the names of the candidates for the National Assembly election.

According to Maoist chairperson Prachanda’s secretariat, the party has fielded Urmila Aryal in state 2, Suresh Alemgar (other group) and Bharat Sunar (Dalit) in Gandaki, Nar Bahadur Bista (disabled / minority) in Karnali and Jagat Parki (Dalit) in the far west.

A meeting of the UCPN (M) Central Committee held on Monday had given the responsibility of selecting candidates for the National Assembly to Chairman Prachanda. Accordingly,
Prachanda’s candidature was finalized on Tuesday morning, according to Prachanda’s
secretariat. The Election Commission has a schedule to nominate candidates for the 19-post election to be held on Magh 12.
