Kathmandu, January 4
Iran has warned the United States of retaliation if it does not sue then-President Donald Trump over the assassination of General Qasim Suleimani.
The warning was issued by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on the second anniversary of
Suleimani’s death in a US airstrike.
Qasim Suleimani was the top commander of the Quds Force. He was killed in a US drone strike on January 3, 2020. The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a U.S. military base.
On Monday, Iranian President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, ”We will avenge the death of our city general if Trump and then Secretary of State Mike Pompeo are not prosecuted for the murder of Suleimani.”
