The Nepse index is above 2600

Kathmandu, January 3

The Nepse index, which measures share turnover, has reached above 2600 points. On Monday, the second day of the week, the Nepse index has reached above 2,600.

The Nepse index, which started rising on Sunday, the first day of the year, increased by 32.05 points on Monday and reached 2,616.94 points. The share turnover also reached over Rs 4.5 billion on Monday.

The transaction amount reached Rs 4,533,017,178 during the day. Shares of Madhya
Bhotekoshi Hydropower, Gurans Microfinance, Salt Trading Corporation, NI Asia Microfinance, Frost Microfinance and many other companies rose on Monday. Shares of Bhotekoshi Hydropower and Gurans Microfinance rose 10 percent on Monday.

Among the declining companies are Nepal Bangladesh Bank, Tehrathum Power Company,
United Insurance and Ruru Hydropower Company. Share price of Nepal Bangladesh Bank, which has been rising for the past few days due to the merger talks with Nabil Bank, is seen to be the first to decline the most on Monday.
