Former Minister and Politburo Member of CPN (Unified Socialist) Yadu Bansh Jha has joined CPN-UML. Jha, who was on the side of socialists when the UML split, was admitted to the party by UML chairperson KP Oli.
Standing committee member Prabhu Sah and central member Sanjiv Kumar Jha were instrumental in bringing Jha, who is an influential leader in state 2, to the UML.
Jha was a central member of the then CPN. He was the co-chairman of the Malay Socialist Party in 2070 BS. At that time, the then senior UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal had introduced Jha to the party.
