Theft at four temples in East Chitwan

Kathmandu, January 2

Four temples in Kalika Municipality-2 of East Chitwan have been robbed. The theft took place at the temple premises on Saturday night.

According to the Padampur Police Post, cash was stolen from the Kalpeshwar Mahadev Temple, Bighneshwar Ganesh, Radhakrishna and Siddhidata Bhagwati temple premises.

Chief of the office and Assistant Inspector of Police Uday KC informed that about 10,000 rupees in cash and goods were stolen from the donation box.

According to him, the theft was discovered by a group of five / seven people. The idols and
other materials in the temple are safe. Judging by the nature of the incident, it is estimated that it was stolen for money.
