Kathmandu, January 2
CPN (Maoist Center) Standing Committee meeting is underway at Pragya Pratisthan in
Kamaladi. A meeting has been held to select the party officials and the central committee.
The closed session has been adjourned till 1 pm today. A meeting of the standing committee was held before the closed session.
Even eight days after the start of the UCPN (M) ‘s general convention, the selection of
leadership has been successful. Apart from the chairperson, there are problems in the selection of office bearers and the central committee.
Today, Prachanda has held separate discussions with the top leaders of the party for the
selection of central committee and office bearers.
