Manchester City have an eight-point lead, with Chelsea tied

League leaders Manchester City beat Brentford 1-0 in the Premier League to take an eight-point lead.

Phil Foden’s goal in the first half was decisive for City at Brentford. Foden scored in the 16th minute through a pass from Kevin de Bruyne. AmrikLaporta was offside in the 87th minute.
After the win, City added 50 points from 20games to take an eight-point lead over second-placed Chelsea.

Chelsea have been held to a 1-1 draw by Brighton in the last minute. Romelu Lukaku scored in the 28th minute to give Chelsea the lead. But Danny Welbeck equalized for Brighton in injury time.
