Standing committee meeting at Pragya Bhawan to reach consensus on Maoist office bearers

CPN-Maoist Central Standing Committee Meeting has started. A meeting of the standing
committee is being held at Pragya Bhawan in Kamaladi. A meeting of the standing committee is being held to discuss the issue of concluding the party officials by consensus during the eighth general convention.

In the closed session of the eighth general convention that started last Sunday, the ideological and political report of Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and the draft legislation of leader Dev Gurung are being discussed in 25 groups on Tuesday.

Leader Krishna Bahadur Mahara informed that the leaders of the group are scheduled to
present their findings on Wednesday. The ongoing general convention will select 299 central
working committees including 15 office bearers.
