The results of the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation elections in India are being announced
today. According to preliminary results, the Bharatiya Janata Party has suffered a setback.
The results of 14 out of 35 constituencies of Chandigarh Municipal Corporation have been
made public. According to the latest poll results, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is leading in six wards. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is following you with victories in 5 wards.
AAPKA candidate has defeated the BJP mayor. BJP mayor Ravikant Sharma was defeated in
ward no 17. Sharma has been defeated by AAPKA candidate Dharampreet Singh by 828 votes, according to Indian media.
Similarly, former mayoral and BJP candidate Dabhesh Modgil has also lost to your candidate
Jasbir. It is mentioned in the news that the results of the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation
election will be made public by this afternoon.
According to the latest details, the Congress has won in two wards and the Akali Dal in one
ward. In the previous election, BJP had won in 20 wards.
Assembly elections are going to be held in Punjab in February-March.
According to Indian media, the Union Territory of Chandigarh Municipal Corporation elections, which were held before the Assembly elections, are viewed with importance.
